Cryoanalgesia for Pain Management
Professionals and Orthopedists
Cryoanalgesia has been used continuously in specialty
pain management clinics for decades. It is an accepted
and successful method for treating post-operative pain
and a wide range of actue and chronic pain syndromes.
Cryoanalgesia is particularly well suited for providing
prolonged pain relief where other treatment modalities
have been ineffective or in cases where surgery and
implants are unacceptable. The following sample of
published indications establishes the broad range of use
for cryoanalgesia in orthopedic and pain management
medicine:
- Post-operative Pain
- Cancer Pain
- Posttraumatic Neuralgia
- Intercostal Neuralgia
- Neuromas
- Iliac Crest Bone Grafts
- Lumbar Pain
- Trigeminal Neuralgia
- Interspinous Ligaments
- Coccydynia
- Perineal Neuropathies
- Ilioinguinal, Iliohypogastric, Genitofemoral
Neuralgias
- Trigger Points
- Painful Superficial Scars
- Phantom Limb
- Obturator Nerve
- Cervicogenic Headache
Cryoanalgesia is often performed as an outpatient
treatment, patients often remain ambulatory and the
post-operative recovery is minimal. It is highly
acceptable to patients, it has a low rate of
complication and it is an effective low cost solution
for pain management.
CryoTech offers products with Advance
automated and digital technology that brings ease of
operation to the practice of modern cryoanalgesia. The
development of the digitally controlled and automatic
cryoanalgesic devices offered by CryoTech is the key to
allowing the clinician to focus on the cryosurgical
procedure and the patient. The physician no longer needs
to be concerned with manual controls and adjustments to
regulate pressure and gas flow to the cryoprobe. Our
CryoStar,
CryoPac Advance and
CryoPac
Ultra systems provide automatic gas regulation,
purge and cleaning functions as well as a digitally
controlled neuro-stimulation function.
